So last year I actually won the November Seamwork contest on Instagram with my sequin Bo (Thanks to everyone who voted! It was very sweet and I'm super flattered :D) That actually wasn't the Bo I was most excited to make, it just came first because I needed if for Halloween.
I had already bought a tencel blend twill with the most amazing drape from Mulberry Silks in Carrboro, NC. It's in this goldenrod, butternut squash kind of color (hi, I'm great at describing colors...) that is totally outside of my normal color palette but I liked it too much to resist.

That Bo finally had its day! The pattern modifications are the same as the first. I still prefer the pattern without the arm bands as the longer sleeves are an odd length on me (plus, without them, I can eek this out of just a yard.) I opted for a hand finished rolled baby hem instead of the bias binding that I did on my first one and it turned out lovely.

The softness of this fabric (plus the lack of sparkle) means this one will get a lot more wear and promises to enter the regular closet rotation. Bo is super comfortable (yay for oversized clothing after the holidays!) but flattering. I especially love the slightly cropped length with high waisted jeans. Not much else to say about this one except that I loved how it turned out!
